The visitor experience revolves around simplicity. As soon as the tourist makes their way into the museum, their eyes will meet Tree’d’s creation: a vintage-looking telephone handset equipped with state-of-the-art technology. When the tourist grabs The Handset and begins their tour, they will be able to learn more about the items that grab their attention and/or meet their interests by simply bringing up the device in close proximity, thanks to the equipped NFC technology. As The Handset catches the contactless connection, an audio track will play. This auditory experience will be a couple of minutes long, and available in many different languages (English, Arabic, French, Deutsch, and Japanese … etc). With that, the tourists will be able to learn at their own pace.
Tourist experience will be collected in numbers, such as, number of scanned items, or language scanned, the most exhibits scanned, the less exhibits scanned, the rush hours etc. This will help the museum to learn more about the tourist experience and to make the necessary adjustments to improve the museum set up.
Our choice of vegan PLA for our hardware and our methodology of reuse damaged cases and refabricating the material is our conscious choice to address the environmental impact of our product.
The product is designed to enhance visitors’ experience by telling exciting stories using voiceover, music and sound effects. The aim is to create an immersive experience using our friendly and retro looking handset.
Museums will gain tremendously from implementing our solution. They will have a chance to introduce new technologies, enhance their customers’ experiences, illuminate misinformation and educate the visitor with verified information. Moreover, the device could generate revenues by ticketing it.
